Your First Visit
Nothing here happens to you.
It happens with you.
Booking a wax or a facial with someone new takes a certain amount of nerve, especially for the more intimate services. So here is exactly how it goes, start to finish, with no surprises left in it.
-
Before you arrive
Book online and you'll get a confirmation with the address and time. Come with clean, dry skin. For waxing, hair should be about a quarter inch — roughly the length of a grain of rice. Skip heavy exfoliation, tanning, and retinol for 48 hours beforehand, and go easy on caffeine the day of if you tend to run sensitive.
-
Arriving
We're by appointment only, so the studio is yours. There's no waiting room full of people and no one else booked over your time. Please come solo unless we've arranged otherwise — it keeps the space quiet for everyone.
-
We talk first
Every first visit starts with a conversation, not a treatment. We'll go through what you're hoping for, any medications or skin conditions that matter, and what you'd rather we avoid. If you're not sure what you want, that's a completely normal place to start.
-
Consent, out loud
You'll be told what's happening before it happens, and asked before anything changes. Draping is used throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Nothing is a surprise.
-
You can stop at any time
Say the word and we pause. Say it again and we stop entirely — no explanation needed, no awkwardness, and you will not be made to feel difficult for it. This is the part of trauma-informed care that actually matters: the pace is yours, not the treatment's.
-
Aftercare
You'll leave knowing exactly what to do next, and it's specific to what you had done. For waxing that generally means avoiding heat, sweating, exfoliation, and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. For facials it depends on the treatment, and you'll get written guidance either way.
Practical Things
- Payment: Credit Card, Debit Card, Venmo, Cash.
- Appointments only. No walk-ins, so every guest gets the full session.
- Come solo unless arranged in advance — no children or pets, for everyone's comfort and safety.
- On your period? A Brazilian is still fine. Wear a clean tampon or cup, and know that sensitivity may be higher.
- Pregnant? Waxing is safe with a few adjustments. Tell us when you book so we can plan for comfort.
